OurAupair was formed in 2009 by the Clohessy family in a small coastal town on the west coast of Ireland. As a result of a family's hectic work schedule, we needed an extra pair of hands to give a hand out.
We managed to get ourselves an excellent aupair to join our family which led us into setting up www.Ouraupair.com
We wanted to make it simple for all Aupairs and families to contact one another and not have to go through expensive agencies. We are NOT an agency. A lot of the vetting can be done by you. We have found this a very rewarding and interesting experience we have done this as a family and have had no problems, by simply carefully selecting and vetting  suitable person to join your family.

With regard to agencies some portray a mixed message to me ...that is to say they promise to replace an aupair within 5 weeks if you pay more money etc etc

Here at Ouraupair you probably realize that a lot of the content of our websites from first hand experience going trough life as a family.
We have learned form our experiences and indeed from other websites that sometimes people can take advantage and try and scam you.
We recommend that you take advice from other websites but you only sign up with one. We would recommend ours of course but that's your choice. The reason for signing up with one is that you will be bombarded with emails and it just really makes you lose faith .. take it from our experience and remember you only hvae to pay if you find a match!

Unfortunately we have to block some countries. This does not mean that all the people are bad in this country ..sadly there are a few ruining it for others. Countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Cameroon and Morocco. There is major scamming going on from countries. Sending dud cheques and then looking for the money back etc etc etc. It has been known that peoples desperation to get into Europe is is exploited in these countries. Obvioulsy we condemn this type of activity completely.
Be practical in your choice of family and indeed aupair. You should look at your geographical location, and make that part of your choice
